Day 01. Arrive in Kunming:
Our representative pick you up from Chengdu and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02. Drive from Kunming to Dali:
It takes about 5 hours from Kunming to Dali. We will depart from Kunming to Dali in the early morning. The previous capital of Nanzhao Kingdom . Dali has been settled mainly by the Bai ethnic people for almost 1,200 years. In the afternoon you may explore the town at your own pace, either renting a bike to around to Erhai Lake, or just relax and have cup of coffee or tea.
Day 03. Driver from Dali to Lijiang:
Drive from Dali to Lijiang, which journey aloing the Cangshan mountain range and Erhai Lake including the scenic and pleasant in itself. We will stop on the way to visit the Orchid King of Dali. After Lijiang, we will visit the Black Dragon Pool in the northern side of the town, and explore around the old town maze of Naxi houses. A classic Naxi music concert in the evening and stay inside of the Old Town.
Day 04. Drive from Lijiang to Zhongdian:
In the morning have a breakfast and then we will drive to Zhongdian, which is the first Tibetan town in Yunnan with a sprinkling of Bai, Muslim and Naxi cultural influences. We will stop on the way to visit the fantastic Tiger Leaping Gorge, which was once the deepest gorge in the world.
Day 05. Drive from Zhongdian to Deqin:
The way to simply the best view of the great variety of landscape in the great Rivers region by drive to Deqin.Visit a Tibetan school in the afternoon in Deqin, and we will have our food in the town, then we will drive minutes to Feilaisi, where you could have a fantastic view of Mt. Meili just out of your room.
Day 06. Drive from Deqin to Tibet via Yanjing:
If the weather good, we could see the golden snow-covered Kawagebo mountain, it called Mt. Meili. Then we explore along the north of Mekong River valley into Tibet. And our first stop will be in the town of Yanjing , which is the main source of salt of the Tibet region., which ranged from northwestern Sichuan down into Yunnan . We will visit to the salt fields and hot springs as well where each of us could pick our own natural hot bath overlooking the Mekong. Certainly we could have relax our body for the adventure ahead.
Day 07. Drive from Yanjing to Zugong:
We traverse two high passes in the region by drive, one at around 3900m and another one at 5008m.
Day 08. Drive from Zugong to Ranwu:
We will drive through the deep valleys of the Nu River, which is a long and tough journey, but our destination is the Ranwu Lake and is another Shangri-la. Overnight at Camp
Day 09. Hiking around Ranwu:
An extraordinary day which involves no driving. You have two options available: one option is day hike around Ranwu or just find the place for relax.
Day 10. Drive from Ranwu to Bomi:
It takes about 5 hours for 129km by drive to Bomi. And visit around Bomi.
Day 11. Drive from Bomi to Bayi (about 230km):
In the morning waking up to the birds' singing, you will have an unobstructed view of the majestic Najiabawa peak (7,782m, No. 6th peak of the world). After a long journey to Bayi by drive, it takes about 9 hours. This is the largest town where we reached.
Day 12. Drive from Bayi to Basumtse Lake:
Basum Lake has another Tibetan name, Tsokou, which means green water. Many glaciers of the lake provide to the people sufficient water. Covering 26 square kilometers (10 square miles), the clean green lake, reflecting snow capped mountain in the water and has so stunning scenery that it makes one feels in Swiss. Animals are living a comfortable and easy life in Basum. Overnight at Camp
Day 13. Drive from Basong Lake to Gongbujiangda:
In the morning have a breakfast then we will depart to Gongbujingda in lunch time and we explore or hike around the nearby glacier.
Day 14. Drive from Gongbujiangda to Lhasa:
Believe it or not, Thirteen numerical is a lucky number in the Tibet. This is the day we arrive in Lhasa, it means normally you finished your adventure and challenging trip of Kunming Lhasa overland tour. And Lhasa as one of the most sacred of pilgrimages place in Tibet.
Day 15. Sightseeing Tour around Lhasa city:
In the morning have a breakfast and then visit Potala Palace, Jokang Temple, Bakhor Bazaar.
Day 16. Sightseeing Tour around Lhasa city:
In the morning have a breakfast and then visit Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery, and Norbulingka.
Day 17. Drive from Lhasa to Gonggar airport and fly to Kathmandu.
