Shalu Narthang trekking will take you around the most sacred monasteries and palaces around in and out of Lhasa, and will also include a trekking from Shalu Monastery to Nartang Monastery. Shalu Monastery is located next to Shigtase, around 14km away fom Shalu Monastery. Shalu Narthang trekking starts from Shalu Monastery to Narthang Monastery, which takes 4-5 days, it is a good option if you have time limited or if you want to taste of trekking in Tibet without commit to one of the longer or more difficulties routes. In the trekking includes two high passes, but these are not particulary high.

Shalu Narthang Trekking Day to Day Itinerary:

Day 01. Arrive at Kathmandu Airport:
You will be met by our airport representative and transfer to hotel and a short brief about Tibet tour after refreshment.

Day 02. Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu:
Kathmndu Valley sightseeing tour including Kathmandu durbar square, Patan durbr square, Baudhnath Stupa, Swayabhu Nath, Pashupatinath Temple and Preparation for Shalu Narthang Trekking.

Day 03. Fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa:
Pick you up from the Lhasa Gonggar airport by our representative and drive to Tsetang.

Day 04. Drive from Tsetang to Samye valley.

Day 05. Drive from Samyeto Gyantse.

Day 06. Drive from Gyantse to Shalu Monastery. Overnight at Camp

Day 07. Trekking from Shalu Monastery to Upper Lungsang. Overnight at Camp

Day 08. Trekking from Upper Lungsang to Ngor Monastery. Overnight at Camp

Day 09. Trekking from Ngor Monastery to Nartang Monastery. Overnight at Camp

Day 10. Drive from Nartang Monastery to Shigatse.

Day 11. Drive from Shigatse to Lhasa via Northern Highway.

Day 12. Full Day Sightseeing in Lhasa.

Day 13. Lhasa sightseeing.

Day 14. Drive from Lhasa to Gonggar Airport and fly back to Kathmandu.
